Hi, I’m Ellie Cummins.

I grew up in a family who loved owning small businesses. I learned early on that the best way to control a business is by making decisions based on the financials, which is why I love bookkeeping so much.

After working a tax season with a CPA, I realized that many businesses only update their financials enough to know how much to pay Uncle Sam at the end of the year.

I knew bookkeeping could be so much more.

With updated books, business owners can understand the health of their business and make informed decisions: where to cut expenses, what costs to prioritize, which clients to pursue, and so much more.

So after finishing my degree in accounting and working as a project cost specialist, I started Own Your Books to help business owners looking to grow.
